About This Project
I came across this place whilst walking around London. Like everyplace, there were details about it that usually go unnoticed to the average passer-by. For me, the ominous and foreboding blackness surrounding the sliver of brightness evoked a heightened level of anxiety in me. When viewing it once developed and printed, I feel it makes for a successful image as it provides something recognisable but unreconcilable at the same time.
Structural Abscission Series
This is another work in my Structural Abscission series of photographs. Structural Abscission is my method of taking abstract photographs of the urban environment that cuts out, pulls away or abscises the context surrounding the subject and hopefully captures the subliminal, emotional or philosophical impact of the fabric of the city on the viewer.
